Artisan in the Park: April 6-9. Join us in celebrating caves as art and inspiration as potter, photographer, and cave explorer Peter Jones throws pots in the Visitor Center lobby and gives talks about his 40+ years as a caver. Night Sky Watching Events: Telescopes, stories, night walks, and other special programs start at dusk, immediately after the Bat Flight Program, and continue until about 10 p.m.

55th Annual Bat Flight Breakfast:

Come out to the park early and watch the bats fly back into the cave! Park concessioner will open at 5:00 AM to sell breakfast in the visitor center restaurant.

Fee Free Days: On these days in 2012, general entry is free at all National Park sites. At Carlsbad Caverns, this only applies to the Natural Entrance and Big Room self-guided tours. Fees for ranger guided tours still apply.
